Bridges
Dental bridgework is a cosmetic solution that we use to restore one or more lost teeth. A dental bridge is an artificial tooth that is inserted in the place of a missing tooth. A bridge is attached to and held in place by the teeth on either side of it to give a seamless effect.
There may be a number of reasons why people get bridgework done, but the most obvious reasons are cosmetic. Gaps left by missing teeth are usually undesirable, especially at the front. Losing teeth can also effect a change in the shape of your face, causing a 'collapsed' appearance that comes with old age. Additionally, loss of teeth can also affect speech, cause remaining teeth to lean inwards and alter the 'bite profile' of the person affected.
